Garden of Witches Update Brings Balance Adjustments and New Features
September 26, 2025 - Today, developer Holo Interactive announced updates to their popular game Garden of Witches. The update focuses on improving the player experience by addressing feedback and introducing new features.
Garden of Witches is a cute yet dangerous roguelike action game where players guide protagonist Sil through a magical world filled with challenging witches. In version 0.8.2, players can expect significant changes to balance, mechanics, and user interface elements.
Berserk Timer: A new Berserk Timer has been added in Epilogue 1, causing boss attacks to increase by 40% when the timer expires. This adds an exciting layer of challenge for players tackling tough bosses.
Enemy Adjustments: Enemy HP has been reduced across Epilogue 1 to ease progression based on player feedback. Additionally, exclusive upgrades in this epilogue have been adjusted, including the removal of the Harmony upgrade.
Skill and Attribute Buffs: Several skills have received buffs: Giant Scissors and Counter now deal increased damage and attack speed. The Scissor Attribute now deals additional damage based on Scissors damage. Cooldown, Thread, Flower, Crow, and Blood Attributes also saw increases in their effects.
UI Enhancements: Players will notice a new UI for side missions, providing clearer objectives and descriptions upon entry. Additional seeds are granted upon clearing bosses, with respective amounts of 2, 4, 6, and 10 seeds to aid progression.
Bug Fixes: The update resolves several bugs, including issues with the Ambush ability in boss battles, incorrect Flower 6 synergy damage, and excessive homing projectile retention. Additionally, gamepad settings have been improved with options for inverted Confirm/Cancel buttons and vibration control for better accessibility.
